Mabilingwe - 28 September to 3 October 2015
We decided that we would like to enjoy a short tour but if possible not have to cater for ourselves.
I looked on the web and thought that Tlou Lodge was the only place that offered meals. I paid for everything in full in advance.
This is where the trouble started.
By Tuesday I discovered that the "meal allowance" tickets were for R300 for dinner but if you just spent R140 you were still charged for drinks. Bad enough the breakfast did not include the costs of even the juice.
People that know me will have some idea what ensued.
I lost. Any dreams of a refund are not even nightmares.
Needless to say Mrs Brown of Mrs Browns Boys fame comes a very distant second when it comes to choice of language when I get stoked up.
If it were not for people like me workers would not long for retirement.
However I digress - The reserve is nice and we enjoyed our stay overall. (I say "overall" because the meal bit wound me up big time.)
Some of the animals we saw posed for snaps and some of the snaps are below.
Two muddy elephants.
White breasted cormorant.
Warthogs.
A fish eagle in bad light but I wanted the snap to remember it.
Purple roller.
Bushbuck.
Female Nyala.
Father rolling over with joy.
Father.
Mother and child.
A darter.
A white breasted cormorant and a white faced duck.
Tsessebe.
A male Nyala.
A grey lourie - now named a "go away bird".
We left early on Saturday.
